WHAT EXPECT
Ready for an awesome adventure in Egypt’s capital city, Cairo? You’ll be spending overnight tour Cairo (2 days) exploring with your super knowledgeable Egyptologist guide. Get ready to check out some seriously cool stuff like the Great Pyramid of Giza, the Great Sphinx, Pyramid of Zoser, Egyptian Museum, and Old City of Cairo. It’s going to be epic!
Day 1: Explore Ancient Egypt in Cairo!
Get ready for an exciting day exploring the wonders of ancient Egypt! Our expert guide will pick you up in a comfy car and take you to Cairo. First stop: the Egyptian Museum, where you’ll discover all about the amazing history of this fascinating country. Next up on our adventure, we’ll be exploring the ancient city of Cairo! Get ready to visit some awesome places like Salah El Din Citadel, The Coptic Museum, The Hanging Church, Church of St. Sergius, and Ben Ezra Synagogue (the oldest Jewish temple in Cairo). Once we’ve worked up an appetite, we’ll grab some lunch and then head over to Khan El Khalili bazaar, a super busy market with tons of shops, cafes, and cool hangout spots. Finally, we’ll drop you off at your hotel in Cairo so you can get a good night’s rest.
If you’re up for it, you can also catch a special sound and light show at the Pyramids and the Sphinx at night. It’s a cool way to learn about the history of the ancient pharaohs while the Sphinx shares its stories from watching over the Giza Necropolis for thousands of years. (Totally optional, but totally awesome!)
Day 2: Discover the Wonders of Giza and Sakkara!
Early morning you will experience the icons of ancient Egypt! Your Egyptologist guide will accompany you to the Giza pyramids complex, where you can see the Great Pyramids of Giza, the Pyramid of Khafre, the Pyramid of Menkaure, and the Great Sphinx. We’ll then visit Sakkara to see the unique step pyramid of Zoser, the first ever pyramid, constructed of six tombs built on top of each other. After a delicious lunch, we’ll head back to Hurghada, ending our trip with a relaxing evening at the hotel. Get ready for an unforgettable journey through ancient Egypt!
