WHAT EXPECT
Early in the morning, our representative will pick you up from your hotel to Cairo day tour, the distance from Hurghada to Cairo is about 6 hours, you can grab some sleep in your private, air-conditioned vehicle on route to Egypt’s capital. Be sure to order a breakfast box (own expense) from your hotel reception beforehand. when we arrive to Cairo will head straight to The Egyptian Museum.
The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities – Cairo
Explore the oldest archaeological museum in the Middle East and houses the world’s largest collection of Pharaonic antiquities. The museum displays a rich collection covering the pre-dynastic period. Among the museum’s one-of-a-kind collection are the complete tombs of Yuya and Thuya, Psusennes I and the treasures of Tanis, as well as the Narmer Palette commemorating the unification of Upper and Lower Egypt under the only king, is also part of the museum’s priceless artifacts. The museum also displays Tutankhamun’s collection, including his gold death mask and jewelry. If desired, visit the Royal Mummy Room (additional cost) to see the mummies of some of Egypt’s most important pharaohs. Next, the group took a 30-minute break for lunch at a local restaurant, then moved to El Giza to walk around the famous 4,500-year-old pyramids.
Pyramids of Giza – Cairo
Admire the great Pyramid of Cheops, the world’s last ancient wonder, and see its two smaller neighbors, Khafre and Menkaure. Next, get a close look at the Sphinx and the Valley Temple, both in the shadow of the pyramids. They were all built during the Fourth Dynasty of Egypt’s Old Kingdom, between 2600 and 2500 BC. The site also includes several cemeteries and the ruins of a workers’ village.
Great Sphinx – Cairo
The Great Sphinx of Giza is a limestone statue representing the reclining sphinx, a legendary creature with the top of a human and the frame of a lion. Oriented directly from west to east, it is located on the Giza Plateau on the west bank of the Nile River in Giza, Egypt. The Sphinx’s face seems to represent pharaoh Khafre. The original shape of the Sphinx was carved into the bedrock and has since been restored with layers of limestone blocks. It is 73 m (240 ft) long from base to tail, 20 m (66 ft) high from base to crown, and 19 m (62 ft) wide at the rear haunches. His nose was broken for unknown reasons.
After finishing the tour, we will stop for some shopping before starting our journey back to Hurghada.
