WHAT EXPECT

Early in the morning, our representative will pick you up from your hotel in (Hurghada, Makadi Bay and Safaga) to Luxor by Air-conditioned vehicle to visit the most beautiful temples there. You will be visiting:

Temple of Karnak – Luxor

Karnak Temple dates from about 2055 BC to about 100 AD. It was built as a temple of worship and dedicated to the gods Amon, Mut and Khonsu. You’ll rest to recharge with a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, you will have the opportunity to enjoy your free time in Luxor shopping at the Papyrus Institute or the Perfume Center. Then board a typical felucca to cross the Nile to the jaw-dropping west bank to visit the Temple of Hatshepsut, the Valley of the Kings and the Colossus of Memnon.

Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir El Bahari – Luxor

Hatshepsut was the only female pharaoh in ancient Egyptian history. She came to power during the New Kingdom after the death of her father, Thutmose I, and her half-brother and husband, Thutmose II, who succeeded her father to the throne. Hatshepsut’s status as the only woman to rule Egypt was not the only reason for her fame. She ruled over an era of peace and prosperity, expanding lucrative trade routes to the lands of Punt to the south. This achievement is immortalized in bas-reliefs in his temple.

Valley of the Kings – Luxor

The Valley of the Kings was like the ultimate resting place for ancient Egyptian royalty back in the day. From about 1550 to 1070 BC, this valley was where all the cool kings and their families were buried. One of the most important tombs found in the Valley of the Kings is that of Pharaoh Tutankhamun and all his treasures. This is the most famous site for its unique collection of breathtaking ancient tombs and ruins. This location makes it one of the most popular places to explore the history of Ancient Egypt BC.

Colossi of Memnon – Luxor

The Colossi of Memnon in Luxor are two massive stone statues that have stood sentinel at the entrance of the ancient city of Thebes for over 3,400 years. Standing at around 60 feet tall, these towering figures depict Pharaoh Amenhotep III seated on his throne, with intricate carvings and hieroglyphics adorning their surfaces. While one may think that these statues are just cool to look at, they actually have a fascinating historical significance. The Colossi were originally part of a large mortuary temple honoring Amenhotep III, showcasing the wealth and power of one of Egypt’s greatest pharaohs and these impressive structures still command awe and admiration from all who visit them today. A trip to Luxor wouldn’t be complete without paying your respects to these ancient giants!

After you finish exploring Luxor, we’ll make sure you get back to your hotel in Hurghada safe and sound, with awesome memories to cherish forever.
