Hurghada: Discover the Best of Cairo in One Day

WHAT EXPECT

Early in the morning, our representative will pick you up from your Hurghada hotel to Cairo, the distance from Hurghada to Cairo is about 5-6 hours, so you can grab some sleep in your private, air-conditioned vehicle on route to Egypt’s capital. Be sure to order a breakfast box (own expense) from your hotel reception beforehand. when we arrive to Cairo will head straight to the Egyptian Museum.

The Egyptian Museum

The oldest archaeological museum in the Middle East and houses the largest collection of Pharaonic antiquities in the world. The museum shows an extensive collection from the predynastic period. The museum’s unique collection includes the complete burials of Yuya and Thuya, Psusennes I and the Treasures of Tanis, as well as the Narmer Palette commemorating the unification of Upper and Lower Egypt under a single king, which are also among the invaluable Museum artifacts belong. The museum also includes Tutankhamun’s collection with his gold death mask and jewels. If you wish, visit the Royal Mummies Room (at an additional cost) to see the mummies of some of Egypt’s most important pharaohs. We will then take a 30-minute lunch break at a local restaurant and then head to El Giza to walk around the famous 4,500-year-old pyramids and admire the Great Pyramid of Cheops, the last remnant of the world’s ancient wonders They are his two smallest neighbors, Khafre and Menkaure. You’ll then get a close-up look at the Sphinx and Valley Temple, both located in the shadow of the pyramids.

Pyramids of Giza

The pyramids of Giza complex on the Giza Plateau in Greater Cairo, includes the Great Pyramid of Cheops, the Pyramid of Khafre and the Pyramid of Menkaure, and related Giza pyramid complexes. They were all built during the Fourth Dynasty of Egypt’s Old Kingdom, between 2600 and 2500 BC. The site also includes several cemeteries and the ruins of a workers’ village.

Great Sphinx

The Great Sphinx of Giza is a limestone statue of a reclining sphinx, a mythical creature with the head of a human, and the body of a lion. Facing at once from west to east, it stands at the Giza Plateau at the west financial institution of the Nile in Giza, Egypt. The face of the Sphinx appears to represent the pharaoh Cheops. The original shape of the Sphinx was cut from the bedrock and has since been restored with layers of limestone blocks. It measures 73 m (240 ft) long from paw to tail, 20 m (66 ft) high from the base to the top of the head and 19 m (62 ft) wide at its rear haunches. Its nose was broken off for unknown reasons.
After finishing our tour, will enjoy a shopping stop before beginning the journey back to Hurghada.
