TERMS & CONDITIONS

Last update: Mon, Jan 19, 2026

Heads up! For the newest travel info, check out our Terms and Conditions page.

Pharaohs Tours is a travel company from Egypt. We’ve been officially approved by the Ministry of Tourism and Travel since April 15, 2007, with license number 1569. We’re also part of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), which helps us book flights around the world.

Before you book a trip with us, make sure you read these rules. They explain what you can and can’t do, and what your rights are. These rules apply to everyone in your group, so don’t book unless you get what they mean and agree to them!

Important Information About Your Booking

By completing your booking with us, you acknowledge the following important information:

  • We help you set up your trip, but we don’t run everything ourselves. PharaohsTours is like your travel helper—we organize the packages you see on our website and handle your payment, but things like flights, hotels, meals, and buses are actually run by other companies we work with.
  • Every trip is different! We put together your travel package based on what you want, like when you want to leave, where you want to go, and any extras you’d like to add.
  • Once you finish booking your trip, you probably won’t be able to change or update it. If changes are allowed, you might have to pay extra, so double-check everything before you book. Make sure all your details are correct and up-to-date, and read the trip description carefully so you know exactly what you’re getting.
    Our trips come as full packages, which means you can’t pick out just one part to use by itself—you have to use the whole thing together.
    Also, if you decide not to travel after booking, you will usually not be able to get a refund. This is because we partner with various travel companies to offer you the best services and deals, and some of these offers are non-refundable. So, only book when you are absolutely sure you want to travel! It is also highly recommended to purchase travel insurance immediately after booking, just in case of any unforeseen circumstances.

Insurnce

Before you go on any trip with PharaohsTours, you have to get travel insurance that covers at least $100,000 for medical emergencies, getting you home if needed, and evacuation. This insurance must cover every day you’ll be traveling with us, and it has to include things like injuries and emergency doctor visits.

On the first day of your tour, a PharaohsTours guide will check to make sure everyone has the right insurance.
We also really suggest you get extra insurance that covers things like trip cancellations, cutting your trip short, or any problems like losing your stuff, getting hurt, or delays. PharaohsTours isn’t responsible if your bags or personal things get lost, stolen, or damaged during the trip, so always keep an eye on your belongings and don’t leave them alone in public places or on transportation. We can’t pay you back for anything lost or damaged in hotels, homestays, buses, boats, or any other places we use. The price you pay for the tour doesn’t include any insurance, so you have to buy it yourself. When you get your insurance, make sure the company knows exactly what kind of trip you’re going on so you’re fully covered for everything you’ll be doing with PharaohsTours.

Understanding Fees and Payment Methods

All the prices you see for our travel packages are in US dollars, unless we say otherwise. These prices already include all the taxes and fees you need to pay in Egypt, so there shouldn’t be any surprise costs. But remember, prices can change or be taken down at any time, so they’re not guaranteed until you book.

You can pay for your trip using PayPal, bank transfer (BPay), or sometimes other ways if you qualify. If you use PayPal, there’s a 1.5% extra fee, and this might change in the future.

When you choose to pay for your travel packages via bank transfer (BPay), you will need to send a $100 deposit via PayPal first. This deposit secures your booking until you pay the remaining balance. Your travel booking will not be officially confirmed until we receive the full amount. If we do not receive the deposit within 30 days of your tour date, or if you change your mind and cancel your booking before payment is complete, the $100 deposit will not be refunded. This is because we use it to cover the costs of processing your request. By making this deposit, you agree that we are not obligated to refund it in these circumstances.

We try to show all extra charges, like tips, government taxes, or special fees, in the price you see. Sometimes there are extra charges for things like traveling alone, picking certain dates, or adding extra services. You’ll need to pay these extra fees as explained above. These extra charges can change, and we can’t control them or be responsible for them after you book.
Sometimes, the price of your trip or any extras you add might change because of things we can’t control, like changes in money values, fuel prices, or airline costs. If the total price goes up by 10% or more after you book but before you travel, Pharaohs Tours can either ask you to pay the difference or cancel your trip.

  • If you cancel your booking entirely, you will receive a full refund.
  • If you cancel an upgrade within your booking, we will refund the amount paid for the optional upgrade.
    Subject to all applicable laws, including the Egyptian Consumer Protection Law, in the event of your cancellation, we will not be liable to you for any amount exceeding the booking price paid.
    If we choose to charge an additional fee reflecting this cost increase, you have the right to accept this increase and proceed with your travel plans, or to cancel your booking and receive a full refund. Should you wish to cancel your booking, and in accordance with applicable laws, including Egyptian consumer protection law, we will not be liable to you for any amount exceeding the booking price paid.
    We reserve the right to disregard any advertised prices if we have made a material error in advertising a travel offer that misleads us about the product or service provided, if we are unable to provide what was advertised, or if there is a clear error in the pricing of the travel offer.

Booking Confirmation

We may accept or reject an order for any reason after that booking has been placed, including, an error in the price or description, the unavailability of any product or service, or an error in the administration of your order.

Immediately following payment in full, you will receive an booking confirmation via email. Please note that your booking is not considered processed until you have received your booking Confirmation email. If you have not received this email within 24 hours of placing your booking, please contact us to ensure your booking has been received. Please ensure you read this booking Confirmation carefully, to ensure that your booking is accurate.

The booking Confirmation will contain helpful information including a timeline of what the traveller can expect will happen next. The booking process can vary from deal to deal so it’s important to check if you have further requirements in order to complete your booking.

Please note, we will not be liable for any expenses, fines, penalties, costs, liabilities, damages or losses incurred as a result of failure to read and follow the instructions as listed on your booking Confirmation

Passenger Guide Information Forms

To start booking your trip, we need some details about you and anyone else traveling with you. This info helps us sort out things like plane tickets, cruise cabins, hotel rooms, and any special needs like food or mobility assistance.

You’ll have to fill out an online form called the Passenger Information Form within 72 hours after you order your trip. We’ll try to remind you to fill it out, but make sure the info you give us is correct and matches your passport, especially your name and birth date. You can also tell us about any special needs, like how you want your bed set up or if you have any dietary or medical requirements.

Once we get your form, we’ll start booking everything for you. We’ll put your details into our systems to reserve your tickets and accommodations. If you make a mistake on the form, fixing it will count as a change request, which might have some rules.

If you have any special requests, like specific food or mobility needs, make sure to mention them on your form. We’ll do our best to meet these requests, but we can’t promise anything.

To travel internationally, everyone needs a passport that’s good for at least 6 months after you come back and has at least 2 empty pages. You also have to fill out a Passenger Information Form within 72 hours after you book your trip, even if you’re waiting for a new passport.

When you fill out the form, you’ll get instructions on how to update your passport details if you get a new one. If you miss the deadline to update your passport info, you might end up on a different flight or train, or sitting away from your friends or family, depending on what’s available. You’ll have to pay any extra costs if your ticket needs to be changed because you didn’t update your passport info in time.

If you don’t send back the Passenger Information Form on time, PharaohsTours might cancel your booking. If this happens, you’ll get a credit note for what you paid, but PharaohsTours won’t cover any extra costs or problems caused by not following the booking rules.

Booking Changes Explained

If you want to change something about your booking, we’ll try our hardest to help, but it might not always work out. If the change makes the price go up, you’ll need to cover the extra cost. Any changes, even fixing mistakes on a Passenger Information Form, might come with fees based on the Offer Details, these Terms, and the Supplier’s Terms. These fees could include the difference in fare at that time, full cancellation, and the cost of new tickets if changes aren’t allowed.

Unexpected Force Majeure – If we need to change your booking, we’ll first try to offer you something similar. If the new option costs less, we’ll give you back the extra money. If that doesn’t work out, our Cancellation and Refund policy will apply. Depending on the rules, you might get your money back or receive a credit note for what you paid.

Travel Visa and Flight Tickets

PharaohsTours isn’t responsible if you don’t get your visa, no matter what. If you end up without the right visa, you’ll have to cover any costs, fees, or fines that come up because of it.

You’ll need to buy your own plane tickets to fly from your home country to Egypt. Make sure to send us your flight details so we can pick you up at the airport when you arrive. If you change any of this info, it might cost you extra.

When you’re flying around Egypt, double-check your tickets to see how much luggage you can bring. Different airlines have different rules, and if you bring too much, you might have to pay more.

Cancellation Booking

Before You Travel:
The travel deals on our site are super cheap and only available for a short time. Because of this, you usually can’t get your money back if you just change your mind, unless our Cancellation and Refund Policy says otherwise. If you’re curious about your travel deal, just message PharohsTours on WhatsApp at +20 1110030055. For more details on canceling, check out our Cancellation and Refund Policy.

While You’re Traveling:
If you decide to cancel, don’t show up, or leave your trip after it starts, any part of your trip you haven’t used, like flights, will be canceled with our travel partners. Usually, you can’t get a refund just because you changed your mind, unless our Cancellation and Refund Policy allows it. Once your trip has started, it’s tough to get money back for the parts you didn’t use, and PharaohsTours can’t promise a refund if you cancel after your trip begins. For more info on canceling, take a look at our Cancellation and Refund Policy.

Force Majeure

This part of the agreement is subject to any rights you have under the Egyptian Consumer Law. Unless the law says otherwise, and unless the issue is due to our mistakes or bad actions, any problems you have with the Travel Services should be taken up with the Travel Suppliers, not PharaohsTours. This applies if the Travel Services can’t be provided, plans change, or if you face any loss or damage because of delays, cancellations, or disruptions caused by:
• Government rules, actions, or orders;
• Natural disasters like:
• Explosions or fires;
• Storms or cyclones;
• Floods or fast-moving water;
• Landslides;
• Earthquakes or tsunamis;
• Volcanic eruptions;
• Vehicle or aircraft crashes;
• Illness, quarantine, or outbreaks (like COVID-19);
• Strikes;
• Civil unrest, wars, or uprisings;
• Terrorist acts;
• Theft;
• Any other unexpected events beyond our control (each called a Force Majeure Event).

Even if something unexpected happens and can’t give you the trip you booked, PharaohsTours will try hard to find similar travel options for you. This might mean you have to pay a bit more. If we can’t find anything similar or you’re not happy with what we offer, then our rules for canceling and getting your money back will kick in.

Liability

We do not accept any liability for any loss (including consequential loss) injury, illness, death, damage, delay (including but not limited to loss or damage to persons, baggage and property), diversion or additional expense caused either directly or indirectly by:
• use of (or inability to use) our website or any linked website;
• disruption to our website;
• the acts, errors, omissions, default or negligence of Travel Suppliers or other third parties including government authorities;
• the laws, regulations, acts or failures to act, demands, orders, or interpositions of government or any subdivision or agent thereof or other authorities;

In circumstances where our liability cannot be excluded and where liability may be lawfully limited, such liability is limited to the remedies required of us under applicable the Egyptian Consumer Law.

Nile Cruises

If you can’t make it to your Nile cruise on time, let us know right away! This way, we might be able to save your booking or help you avoid extra charges. If you miss the cruise, you’ll have to pay for any new bookings or travel arrangements to catch up. If you can’t rejoin the cruise, it will count as a no-show, and our cancellation rules will kick in.

Make sure you have all your important papers with you. Unless we say otherwise, picking a specific cabin or upgrading is based on what’s available, and we can’t promise anything. Unless we offer “Nile Cruise Customisation,” cabins are assigned randomly, and some might not have the best views.
