ITINERARY

Day 1: Hurghada – Aswan

In the early morning, your friendly driver and Egyptologist expert will come to pick you up from your hotel in Hurghada. You’ll hop into a comfy, air-conditioned car for a ride to Aswan. Once you get there, you can drop off your things at the hotel and grab some lunch at a nearby restaurant.

After that, it’s time for an exciting adventure! You’ll visit Agilkia Island to see the amazing Temple of Isis at Philae. This temple was built a long time ago, during the Ptolemaic period, and it’s dedicated to Isis, one of the oldest goddesses in ancient Egypt, known for being a symbol of motherhood. After exploring, you’ll head back to your hotel in Aswan to relax and get a good night’s sleep.

Overnight: Aswan | Meals: Lunch

Day 2: Aswan – Abu Simbel – Luxor

In the early morning, we’re off to see Abu Simbel, where two huge stone temples sit by Lake Nasser. These temples are part of a special UNESCO World Heritage Site in Nubia and were built during the time of Pharaoh Ramesses II, way back in the 13th century BC. After our visit, we’ll head back to Aswan.

Next, we’ll travel to the Temple of Kom Ombo, which is really cool because it’s a double temple for two gods: Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus, the falcon god. After checking out this unique place, we’ll move on to Edfu. This temple is also for Horus and is over 2,000 years old! It was buried under sand until a French team found it in 1798, so it’s in great shape. It’s a fantastic way to experience Egypt.

Finally, we’ll make our way to Luxor, where you can relax at your hotel and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, we’ll explore the East Bank, starting with the amazing Karnak Temple Complex, which is part of the ancient city of Thebes. This temple is dedicated to Amun, the ram-headed god, and has lots of temples, chapels, statues, and monuments to see. We’ll wrap up our day with a visit to Luxor Temple, which is important because it honors three gods: Amun, his wife Mut, and their son Khons.

Overnight: Luxor | Meals: Breakfast / Lunch

Day 3: Luxor – Hurghada

Early morning, you can have an amazing adventure like no other! Imagine floating high above the ground in a hot air balloon, where you can see the ancient Egyptian civilization from the sky. You’ll be able to snap some incredible photos that will remind you of this unforgettable experience for years to come (this is an optional activity).

After breakfast, we’ll kick off our tour on the west bank of Luxor, starting with the famous Valley of the Kings. Here, you can explore some of the incredible tombs of the Pharaohs from the New Kingdom. Next, we’ll visit the Temple of Hatshepsut, which is the mortuary temple of the only female Pharaoh who ruled Egypt. To wrap up the day, we’ll check out the impressive Colossi of Memnon, which are the remains of Amenophis III’s temple.

Then, we’ll hop on a felucca boat to explore Banana Island on the calm river. You’ll get to taste some delicious bananas and enjoy a traditional Egyptian lunch served in a casserole (called Tajin). Finally, we’ll head back to Hurghada, and you’ll be taken to your hotel in the evening, wishing you a wonderful stay in Hurghada!
