ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival Cairo

Welcome to our beloved country Egypt! Arrival at Cairo International Airport, our representative will meet you at the airport reception and assistance to get the visa, pass passport control, and transfer to the selected hotel. 
Overnight: Cairo

Day 2: Cairo

Morning after breakfast, get ready to experience the icons of ancient Egypt, with Egyptologist tour guide on an excursion to the Giza Pyramid Complex, where you can see the Great Pyramid of Giza, the Pyramid of Khafre, the Pyramid of Menkaure, and the Great Sphinx. The pyramids are the only remaining wonders of the ancient world. Leaving the Pyramids of Giza, we stop at a government supervised papyrus emporium where you can buy genuine papyrus at quite reasonable prices.
Continuing to the necropolis of Saqqara to explore the myriad tombs and the unique step pyramid of Zoser. This fascinating landmark was the first-ever pyramid and is constructed of six tombs built on top of each other. The rest of the day is free to relax or discover the pyramids area at night in the presence of Sound & Light Show (optional excursion).

Day 3: Cairo – Aswan

You will start flight from Cairo to Aswan early morning. Arrive and board the 5-star Deluxe Nile cruise ship with time to freshen up, before begins to visit the High Dam of Aswan, where your tour guide will explain how the construction of the dam and subsequent creation of Lake Nasser required the relocation of the Nubian people and several important historical monuments, including Abu Simbel, which you have the opportunity to visit tomorrow (optional excursion).
Afterwards, take a short boat trip to Agilkia Island to explore the Philae Temple which is dedicated to the goddess Isis. Built during the Ptolemaic Kingdom (305 BC to 30 BC), the temple is dedicated to Isis, one of ancient Egypt’s oldest goddesses! Widely considered one of the most beautiful temple complexes in Egypt, Philae Temple is sure to astound those who visit.

Day 4: Aswan / Kom Ombo / Edfu

Early morning, enjoy the opportunity to join the optional excursion to the temples of Abu Simbel, two massive temples in southern Egypt. Part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site known as the “Nubian Monuments”, these iconic temples were carved out of the mountainside in the 13th century BC, during the reign of Pharaoh Ramesses II. Back to Aswan then continues tour with sailing to Kom-Ombo to visit to the Temple of Kom-Ombo. The city’s temple is dedicated to two deities: the crocodile god Sobek, and the falcon god Harwer (Horus the Elder).
The temple has a unique design. Because it is dedicated to two gods, it has two parallel axial passages running through its columned halls, terminating in two sanctuaries, one for each. The southern axis (on the right) is Sobek’s, and the northern (on the left) Harwer’s. Continue Nile Cruise sailing to Edfu.

Day 5:  Edfu / Luxor

Early morning, visit Temple of Edfu is one of the most striking and complete of ancient Egyptian temples and is dedicated to the worship of the god Horus. Situated on the western bank of the Nile, its construction began during the reign of Ptolemy III (246–221 BC) in 237 BC, but was completed in the reign of Ptolemy XII (80–51 BC) in 57 BC, 180 years later. Continue sailing to Luxor.
Arrive Luxor and start tour to the East Bank of Luxor. Experience the incredible Karnak Temple Complex which is part of the ancient city of Thebes. Dedicated to the powerful ram-headed god Amun, it offers a vast mix of temples, chapels, statues and obelisks. Next, explore Luxor Temple, a place of worship that is dedicated to three gods: Amun, his wife Mut and his son Khons. Together these temples and gods were key players in the great Opet Festival which was held each year during the flood season.

Day 6: Luxor – Hurghada

Early morning you can make unparalleled adventure in the world, you can, through a hot air balloon, watch the ancient Egyptian civilization from above and take amazing pictures that will always remain with you for life, reminding you of this amazing experience that you will not forget (optional excursion).
After breakfast, start to discover the West Bank of the Nile, visit the world-famous Valley of the Kings, explore some of the incredible tombs of the New Kingdom Pharaohs including Tutankhamun.
Next, enjoy a visit to the Temple of Hatshepsut (Deir El Bahary), the mortuary temple of the only Pharaoh Queen that ruled Egypt. Complete your day by marveling at the great Colossi of Memnon, the last remains of Amenophis III’s temple. Finally board an air-conditioned private vehicle and travel to Hurghada on the Red Sea coast for a two-night stay at an all-inclusive resort.

Day 7: Hurghada

Breakfast. Make the most of a free day at this beautiful Egyptian resort on the coast! The resort in Hurghada offers a large swimming pool complex, long sandy beaches and all-inclusive food and drink.
Alternatively, choose to take part in any number of activities, like full-day snorkeling, scuba diving or safari excursions.

Day 8: Hurghada – Cairo

After some rest and relaxation, early morning hop aboard to the private vehicle and travel back to Cairo. Arrive at Cairo hotel, check-in and freshen up before heading out to explore the Egyptian Museum to learn more about the country’s incredible ancient history, then we take a tour on the old city of Cairo, do the experiment at Khan El Khalili, a buzzing bazaar crammed full of souvenir shops, cafés and shisha corner.

Day 9: Departure Cairo

Morning, you get your breakfast at Cairo Hotel, then transfer to Cairo International Airport. At the end of your trip, Pharaohs Tours wishes you a safe journey home and welcomes you when you return again very soon on a new Egyptian adventure.
