Siwa Oasis

 

Siwa Oasis is an oasis in Egypt, between the Qattara Depression and the Egyptian Sand Sea in the Libyan Desert, nearly 50 km east of the Libyan border, and 560 km from Cairo. Siwa Oasis is one of Egypt's most isolated settlements, with 23,000 people, mostly Berber speakers, who speak a distinct language of the Berber family known as Siwi. Its fame lies primarily in its ancient role as the home to an oracle of Amon, the ruins of which are a popular tourist attraction which gave the oasis its ancient name Ammonium.

Dakhla Oasis


Dakhla Oasis is considered to be one of the most attractive oases in Egypt. The oasis boasts over 500 hot springs, including Bir Tarfawi and Bir Al-Gebel Hot Spring, as well as charming mud-brick housing and ruins in the medieval town and village of Al-Qasr and Balat. Dakhla Oasis lies to the northwest of Kharga and is also about 310 km to the southeast of Farafra. This oasis consists of 14 settlements and has a population of about 70,000 people.

Kharga Oasis

 

Kharga Oasis must be one of the most beautiful places in the world, especially at sunset; everything you see at this "green island in the middle of a yellow ocean of sand", The Kharga Oasis, the capital of the governorate of  Al Wadi Al Gadeed in Egypt, hosted inhabitants since prehistoric times and it is still the most populated oasis of Egypt until today. The Kharga Oasis is located to the west of the Nile valley, extends over an area of 220 kilometers from north to south and comprises the whole Southern Egypt except for the part that is beside the red sea.

Farafra is a small oasis located in the western desert of Egypt. It is considered to be the most isolated oasis of the governorate of Al Wadi Al Gadid in Southern Egypt. Maybe this is why the people who live in Farafra are still famous until today for practicing their old traditions and customs. The Farafra Oasis has gained the attention of tourists during the last few years because of its unique magic and because the oasis can be the start point for many interesting tours in the Western desert of Egypt like to the white desert and the Crystal Mountains.
